It's amazing how many things look like the LX 570

all right guys, i did not understand that "Spectator" was making a joke when he said there were so many LX 570s. Just give me a break, because I thought he was another "EL34". And i guess you guys are right that Many of the designs are filtered from Infiniti, but what i meant was that these design cues are a first for a Nissan.

WOW farabira, I was about to say everything is in good humor...however to compare me to EL34.

Well, I just don't know what to say to that.

I don't want to make you sound idiotic, but the LX 570 label attached to all the photos indicates that Lexus LX 570 is sponsoring Autospies for New York autoshow, not that all those are pics of the car LX 570.

Now moving onto the pics that have surfaced, I think the new Maxima is very radical, it is a design that we have never seen before, and that makes it very cool for me. The TSX does not look bad, but really a better engine and RWD is needed for Acura to have any chance of competing with the rest of the bunch like Infiniti, BMW, and Lexus.

How is the Maxima a design we have never seen before? The hood is the G37, the headlights are uglified Q45 headlights, the grilled is from a Skyline GT-R, and the rear tailights are uglified versions of the new Toyota Venza.

Barf.

The interior is pretty nice, but its cues are DIRECTLY from the new G37. Look at the audio control knobs, etc on the centre stack. Wtf???

I agree with Hyundai. I feel jipped owning an infiniti now with all the stuff on the infiniti getting carried over to nissan.

997JET...I believe our friend farabira1 missed the class that taught sarcasm.

BTW farabira1 you might have missed the above as well but there was no class. That was also sarcasm.

Hyundai, at least it will be recognizable when it goes down the street, unlike your Genesis. The Genesis is the car that everyone forgot to recognize. If I have to spend 35k on a car, I would be more then happy to spend it on this car over a Genesis. BTW the Genesis has the same problem that you say the Maxima does. The Genesis has a Toyota front end, a Q45 Dashboard and a G35 Rear quarter. BTW, I bet the Maxima handles better too.

I have no allegiance to Hyundai, although I DO prefer the Genesis over the Maxima. How would a FWD boat handle better than the RWD Genesis? Even the Avalon handled better than the Maxima. Check the car reviews. Avalon Touring > Maxima SE in handling.

What the hell is Honda/Acura doing to their cars? Their designs are getting worse with every unveiling, Accord, RL, this.....

They used to have really beautiful designs. Now it's like the higher ups told them to design a car without a single curve. Only angles and steep plane changes aon creases...they are like the designs of products in the 80's that were meant to look like "if this were the future, this is what it would look like"...it still looks like a cheap rendition of "the future"...

C'mon Honda/Acura, get your passion back! I'd hate to see you lose sales because of Battlestar Gallactica designs! (the cars themselves are very reliable and dependable in general).

I care about the maxima and this was one of the cars I was planning to make the trip to NY to see. Kinda disappointed looking at it here but what can I do/say.
