Parmo is mad cause in the recent Car & driver the ISF got beat again in all performance categories. Lexus fans are in denial that their second coming has been in second to the M3 4 out of 4.

When the regular IS came out it was to cause the demise of the 3-series (according to Toyota fans like this). I live in a large car market and hardly see ANY ISs. I see uncountable numbers of 3-series though. Same crap, different day. Back to the drawing board, Toyota.

previous owners of E46 GTR? think i'd rather have that, much more rare..couldn't believe it when i found out how much it actually costs O.O

did that ever come stateside?

I never get why reviewers are suddenly complaining about M3 brakes. All BMWs are born with great brakes. Even my 325Ci with only 11.8" rotors would stop increadibly from as high as 140mph repeatidly. For street use (95%+ drivers), I have yet to feel anything better in its class. For those who want longer lasting brakes for track, then go purchase aftermarket ones.

the provided opinion nearly mirrored by own after driving it especially as to the interior where i thought it felt like a base interior glossed up with slivers rich leather interior trim "pieces" and, well, thats about it other than the seats, wheel and tacho. the leather is nice though; on par with benz & bentley imo.

after the novelty of the new m3 fades & aside from the gem of an engine, is the new m3 a far better car than the last generation?

I think it is. How will it fade in comparison? The fit and finish, the engine, the handling is something out of this world. Take a look underneath and notice the amazing suspension. It is incredible to see how BMW changed this car. This is hands down the best M3, BMW ever produced.

i would definitely buy an IS-F at 50k FULLY loaded.

at 65k M3 for me !!!! looks better and IS better than is-f !!! not an opinion anymore, just a fact once again !!!!

I love the M3. It has grown on me like most of the cars post 2004. The IS-F is a quick car but it's going to be hard to convince a lot of people to consider forking out that much for a car that was just a Toyota Altezza in recent history.

M3 has established itself. IS-F hasn't. It's not my opinion. It's FACT.

The FACT of the matter is this. No matter what Lexus, Acura, and Infiniti does it's going to be hard to convince most of the audi,bmw,mb owners that a Lexus is better to drive.

The people who will buy the IS-F will be the younger kids, young-professionals, people who have bought Toyota's before, and people who have been converted by Toyota's marketing. They've done a great job at that.

Both M3 and IS-F are very different cars, just check first what you want/need... We tested and drove both of them plus the C63AMG... if you want raw power, stunning accelerations go for the M3, but remember this car IS PICKY TO DRIVE & HANDLE! U'd better know how to drive. Now If you care more for Style and comfort but still want to play with power and this safely the IS-F is a good choice.

We took the IS-F for a Spin with a Super GT driver and then ourselves on Fuji Speedway and well, the IS-F is better suited for roads than race track... while the M3 was really at its best on the same track...

As far as I am concerned, I love both of them, different style different attitude, but for the same price... I will go for a GT-R instead !

I think i would rather an is-f. it's different, it' not what everyone is doing. u see guys in M3s all the time. i don't like to see the M3, there is nothing special about how it looks. i know everyone says it's a killer performer, but it just looks too much like 335i. For all of you japanese car haters, this is toyota's first serious try in this segment, bmw has been building M3s for years, i don't think toyota would get it right on the first go, but i think this is close, certainly close enough for me. i have never been an m3 fan or one to worship anything from europe so for me the choice is clear. the is-f please. i don't want to be another poseur in a m3 boasting about how good their car is and the can't drive to save thier life. for them, driving thier car is all about reading someone give their car great reviews and then boasting about it to other people without actually driving the car to the limits themselves.
