The Grand 28-Car City Fuel Efficiency Showdown from Autobild

The German Autobild magazine did a test last month on how much fuel cars spend in short 3km drive, typical of European cities.

And I alomost got a Toyota Prius. I just can't see myself driving nothing that hideous. It has to at least get 300mpg to get in these pockets for something that ugly..

why were the BMW diesels not compared? Most of the cars in the comparison are diesels and Hybrids.

abcd that is not true. You know that. Every diesel car is different in regards to technology. If that is your arguement, then why the multiple hybrids and not use just one as an example? Did you not foget that the 118d won the green award for 2008?

do you really think that there great differeces in diesel technology . the every diesel engines are very similar . the technology that makes more differences are other aspects e.g. effecient dynamics in bmw with incorporate e.g. regenerative braking . SCR(bluetec,bluemotion) would help diesels be little more economy and much "cleaner" . volkswagen TDI with is in this test(without bluemotion) was third in WCOTY . TDI engines are very probably in the same level of technology as bmw diesel engines . in term of hybrids:
there are two main groups : with powerful eletric engines(toyota)-more complicated and heavier and with weak electric engines(honda)-not very complicated with electric motor in place of engine flywheel.

Prius and Hummer H2 shouldn't even be in a same sentence for it is completly opposite,one being the most frugal sedan in the world and the other being one of the worst in the world. Get your head out of your ass, stoolchecker.
