I'll bet it will be ugly like all the new Nissan/Infinti's are.

More Toyota/Lexus cool-aid anyone?

oh, like the BMW 7-series that was on the list of the worst car of the history list? Lexus surpassed it years ago.

A what killer? You chose the wrong brand. More like Porsche Panamera killer if it got GT-R performance.

Actually, Obama, you're right, Infiniti wants to compete with BMW, a drivers car, not a pish posh Lexus.

Well, if Infiniti does it right just like they did with the GT-R, the Q can definitely kill all competing luxury sedans. I look forward to the next Q generation, the last 3 generations each one was worst than the previous ones, so let’s see how they'll do this time.

Seeing as the g and m walk all over the is and gs without breaking a sweat, I'd be willing to bet they'd have the same result if they decided to grow a pair and take on the ls.

I agree, and we all know (including all the badge whores out there AND EL34) that Nissan has the technology and resources to make the Q a formidable competitor to any luxury automaker.

That's why EL34 makes all his negative comments, in reality he's afraid.

I don't see this making it to the production line and if it did, I think it would compete more with BMW. Infiniti is a lot more like BMW than Lexus, in my opinion.

Another Lexus killer, huh. We get a new one every few weeks it seems. Yet Lexus isnt dead yet, hmmmmm....

the Q50 would be directly in the lines of the BMW 7 series, not any lexus. you gotta be an idiot to confuse that

and if the Q had the GT-R engine, it would be a complete Porsche Panamera killer, as dlin said.

The ls and s-class certainly don't look spectacular and they do just fine. They should just concentrate on making it look half as good as the A8 (which equates to twice as good as the ls and s), and perform as well as the 7 or quattroporte, and it'd be a winner.

lexus is the wrong brand to compete with... for one lexus IS NOT a drivers' car. its a limo, not a lux-track car. bmw is what infiniti should shoot at.
btw, ive always loved the current gen m35/45's

Not to burst anyone's bubble, but the article is dated 12-11-06 and the list of concepts is for the 2007 NAIAS.

Regardless, it would be nice to see a new Q with the same kind of mojo that Infiniti put into the G37, M, FX etc.
