Audi Q5 coming to Beijing Auto Show, production may take place in China

Audi is finally set to unveil the Q5 SUV at the 2008 Beijing Auto Show on April 18th. Why Beijing? Well, Audi see’s the China as a key growth market and could possibly build the compact off-roader in China as well as Germany due to strong demand for SUVs among Chinese buyers.

Should be available here by year's end or early next year.
It will be very different than the Tiguan as they do not share any platform. The Q5 is based on the new A5/ A4 platform.

VW Tiquan was voted as the world's worst vehicle when it comes to pollution..on their diesel of course. I think china don't need these stinky and crappy engines. They should just bann the Audis' all together for good..and make them go bankrupt and buyout the Audi for 1/2 the price. Just like their low resale values on their cars..drops like a rock.

The Q5 in any form is a very clean car. The problem cars are the old/low tech ones. China is banning those.
