First pics of the new BMW 3-series on US soil-Part 3

When Chris Bangle's flame inspired theme turned off the BMW purists with his Z Roadster, 7 Series and 5 Series and sent BMW designers back to the drawing board this is what we get: a 3 Series that doesn't know what it is. Is it a Japanese car from the rear, a Pontiac from the front and just plain boring from the sides? I would just as soon they stuck with the flame design theme and made the whole line up a family instead of this bastard child. LEXUS IS will kick it's ass.
