Power will come from the same a 6.2 liter V8 small-block that produces 402-hp and 402 lb-ft of torque. It is also expected to be mated to the same Hydra-Matic 6-speed 6L80 automatic transmission with an optional 6-speed Tremec TR6060 manual.

I'm already buying the G8 GT fully loaded with the premium, sport, and sunroof package in about 3 years when I own my current car. So sure, bring over another one, the more the merrier.

Bring the real thing and we will love it. We need the real Holden. At least call it a Vauxhall!

the g8 looks uglier than the holden monaro...maybe cuz of the pontiac split grille, plus, according to Smart Money, it kinda does look "decades old." But it's growin' on me...
now the new nissan murano, well that does look pretty ugly, especially compared to the previous gen.

I dont get what your saying. So what does that make "Lexus"? A brand that debuted over here in the states but owned by Toyota (a Japanese company)?

Holden is GM in Australia...so really they are just building better cars for the international market than the domestic..

Holden is owned by GM. What part of that do you not understand.

LACMAN, lexus was MADE by toyota; its not like audi being owned by VW.
and yes gm has companies all over the world that they own, but they bought those companies, they didnt MAKE them. the only ones they did make are like gmc, saturn, and some others i think

Right. I can already see GM's advertising campaign ... G8 coupe vs BMW 650i

Nice slam against Cadillac...lol. I would take a CTS over a 5 series any day of the week. The new 5 series coming up though..not sure..gotta wait and see. G8 and 335 would be a good omcparo though.

Doubtful that would be a comparison. Although the G8 GT matches up with the 5 series very well in terms of performance. Should be interesting to see the guys at MT get a GXP w/ 400hp and toss it against the M5 just for fun.

This could be a reality and a pretty simple adaptation for GM to do as well. It already has stated that it will develop the Cadillac coupe based around the CTS platform...which as we all know will hold that 6.2L engine they are talking about above.

So in reality it could end up being the Pontiac version of the Cadillac CTS coupe. Sort of like the Pontiac Solstice and the Saturn Sky.
