Pontiac Solstice GXP Coupe could produce up to 300-hp

GM has already confirmed that it has no plans to offer a V6 or all-wheel-drive in the new Pontiac Solstice Coupe. Power comes from a base 2.4L Ecotec 4-cylinder engine producing 173hp and a GXP version powered by a 2.0L turbocharged Ecotec that produces 260hp.

There are more important things for Pontiac to worry about than being a "competitor" to a 350Z/370Z such as build quality of their convertible top and coefficient of drag (listed as high as .45).
Nevertheless, I really like the look of the convertible and coupe (and yes, they should make a Saturn Sky coupe).

"Coefficient of drag", "build quality of their convertible top" are you serious? First off, this is the coupe version not the convertible. It may be hard to get this through your thick skull but this is a low 20k entry level coupe, not some over-hyped, body-kitted, mid-level coupe. GM has managed to make the Solstice crush its #1 competitor the Miata. Changing its aerodynamics would be a waste of time considering it won't take much for the already fast GXP to beat the porky 370Z.

sorry this is not even close to the Miata or 350z/370z. I would not even consider one unless it gets 35mpg OR has the reliability of the either of these cars. I don't believe its outselling the Miata.
