AC Schnitzer updates 6-Series package, offers 310-hp for the 635d

Updating their tuning kit for the new facelifted BMW 6-Series, AC Schnitzer decided they needed to make the 635d diesel spit out a little more power. Design wise the AC Schnitzer 6-Series gets a new front skirt with triangular fog lights, new side skirts, a new rear skirt and an AC Schnitzer sports rear silencer with chromed tailpipe. Buyers can also opt for the Type VI 20-inch alloy wheels.

For those of you 635d owners looking for more power from your fuel-sipping 6-Series, AC Schnitzer is offering a tuning package that takes the 635d from 286-hp to 310-hp with a peak torque of 501 lb-ft.

Also this whole concept that a diesel is designed to be environmentally concious, needs to be put rest. A diesel is designed to save us money at the pump.

I understand the implications of this however don't keep trying to say that the diesel is a green engine.

Say instead ultra efficient.

is total BS!

Its simple: want to save the environment? reduce the amount of fuel that you burn. Period.

Whether its dead dinosaurs or veggie oil is politics.
Environmentally, its just tonnage, and diesel is the best solution to reducing that today!

If someone wants an environmentally friendly and fuel efficient BMW there's the 320D, which has more power than most drivers have the skill to handle.

The 6 series was a bold move in pushing the envelope of automotive design. We are already starting to get used to seeing other automakers implement BMWs design cues all accross their lineups.

actually my only problem with the back is they should have made it open as a hatch, like the new XK. Would have looked much cleaner. But I like the refresh BMW just came out with, and I do like the way the 6-Series looks as a whole.

They look a bit like Edward Scissor-hands.
But its certainly an attention-getting package, and for most folks shelling out the big $$$ on this package that's exactly what they're after!

But those Tulip-style wheels do look nice ... however the Audi version with more Tulips look even nicer IMHO ... and I have a spare set from my wife's A6 Avant in 16x7" if you're interested. (its got 5-spoke 17" RS-6 wheels instead)

You know what I take that back...The kit is nice (Especially the side skirts) with exception of the split in the front bumper.
