Download Of The Day: The Definitive Drivers Guide To Nurburgring

With the release of Gran Turismo 5 Prologue just the other day, I bet many of you are already taking laps are the Nurburgring in your virtual IS-F or R8.

But are you taking the right line, do you really know what is ahead? 

I'm not sure how long this has been around, but if you haven’t seen it this downloadable guide written by BMW to the Nurburgring, it could be pretty useful.

It has been produced by BMW and is one of the most complete guides to the ‘Ring we have seen.

This 28 page turn by turn analysis, is complete with professional tips and other facts about the legendary circuit.

Hard to complete virtual laps on the 'Ring in GT5:P when the 'Ring isn't included. Guess we're stuck with the GT4 version for a while (or maybe a downloadable version for GT5:P).

Unless you drive the ring often, its hard to remember all the curves and lines (and I don't mean virtual driving)...

009 you have no clue. The Ring is not in GT5 Prologue. There is a 'High Speed Ring' but it is not 'the' Ring (sp?).

It is a nice guide though but I have probably done over 600-700 laps on GT4 over the past three years and am brilliant without it!

GT5 Prologue is a rip off. 5 crappy tracks and only 60 cars. It is also not upgradeable to the full version whenever it actually becomes reality. So they take you $60 twice.

I haven't driven GT5 yet, however GT4 had it, so I ass-u-med it would still be there.

GT5 Prologue is like a beta version, giving us GT addicts a taste of what's to come when the full version does come out, and it's not a $60, it's about half of what the full version would cost; check your sources again. Hey if you don't like it, don't buy it but I for one am definitly very tempted to try out Ferrari's F2007 formula one car and the F40, that'd be quite the treat plus there's also online play to keep you busy for awhile.
