RECALL WEDNESDAY: Hyundai Says We Need 390,000 Sonatas Back
Hyundai Motor Co, South Korea's top auto maker, said on Wednesday it plans to recall some 390,000 units of the Sonata sedan in the United States to fix a defect in the cars' air bag systems.

The recall covers 2006-2008 model year Sonatas that were produced at its Alabama factory, Hyundai spokesman Jake Jang said in a telephone interview.

Ouch! A lot of cars from all makes have been having Airbag problems. Still, Hyundai hasnt had many recalls compared to its competitors. Still, a recall is a recall.

Nobody should be surprised about this. I mean, how many ten year old Hyundais do you see? None of them make it that long.

I don't know. If they do, they'll spend millions fixing the crap they've made.

My 95 Elantra runs great. I think the problem is that demographic of earlier Hyundai buyers did not maintain their vehicles.

10 year warranty or 100k for drivetrain only (basic warranties : 5 years or 60k). if you have your car for 4 years and your car has 101k it's not covered. so 10 year warranty does not mean that the car will last at least 10 years...
