Spy Photos: 2009 BMW 3 Series

Autozeitung.de was able to snap some new photos of the upcoming 2009 BMW 3 Series facelift. Not much changes except for the new I-drive system will be part of the new 3-series also the mirrors are a bit different. Also, LED taillights will be added to this new model. BMW ought to remove the triangular reverse light and integrate it into the red L shaped part of the light. This would do wonders for the rear end of the sedan.

You're right, the coupe looks far better (though the rear of the coupe looks Japanese), but the E90 sedan, as well as the E46 sedan, were ugly. But they sell because they're comfortable, practical, drive better than most of their competition, and of course, say BMW on the front.

At least it's not quite as bad as the Sebring...

I don't see much difference either other than the mirrors. I wish they would put the front of the coupe on this car. Much more elegent. I even owned a 2006 E90 and I loved the car. They could improve so much on this car.

The front grill is different, it's now all one piece instead of the split with bar of the current version. The rear lights will have a different version too. Its just a facelift though so the overall look will be quite similar to the current version.

The new side-mirrors are hideous.

I think the size of them detract from the car. New C-Class has the same problem. Im sure it has something to do with some European safety regulation or something.

I will say that although I love the shape of the current ones, they are a bit small.

i just spend 20 sec look at the 2009 Audi A3 photo & love it immediately. New design BMW need more than 1-2 year to accept it. Am i the only one feeling like that ?
