BMW V3 crossover rendering

BMW is currently developing two new models based on its next-gen 3 and 5-series sedans that will take the luxury brand into new territory.

The new models are best described as MPV-wagons, but unlike the current Touring models the new cars will feature a tall ride-height and high roof profile to maximize interior space.

The model based on the 5-series, which will be called V5, is due to arrive towards the end of the decade.

that is a wagon as far as I'm concerned. Maybe BMW will just replace the 3-Series and 5-Series wagons with V3 and V5 models.

A car that we dont need, why make something just for making something? better a small town car, or a total new 1 series with models like the 3 series, sedan, touring, coupe and cabriolet they only miss the touring right now.

I wish these auto manufactures would quite calling these station wagons and hatchbacks crossovers. It’s getting to be a big joke and there the only ones fooling themselves. I wish there was some parameters set to define a crossover. Maybe there is but the must be pretty loose.
