Hybrid Gumpert Apollo to debut at 24 Hours Nurnburgring

It looks like all the car manufacturers are trying to develop new “green” vehicles which will be used in endurance races held Le Mans and Nurburgring . The last producer who entered the “green race” is the British manufacturer Gumpert, famous for its supercar called Apollo.The Hybrid Apollo will use an 100 kW electric motor and a 3.3 liter V8 bi-turbo petrol engine and produces 630 hp.

Good. We need to move forward. Does everyone forget how the automotive industry got started? Racing. Racing brings innovation and new tech to our street cars. Just look at Formula 1. Look at how much tech have we've gotten from manufacturer and constructor development. I.e. carbon fiber, flappy paddle gear boxes, VTEC... just to name a few. I hope it wins outright! That would be a statement. Also fellow autospiers check out what the ALMS is doing to go "green".
I rest my case.
