I'm not such a big fan of diesel anymore. The price of diesel here fluctuate greatly locally. We need to make diesel fuel the same price as premium fuel to take full advantage of the benefits of diesel cars.

my thoughts exactly...however brewing your own biodiesel would work (probably would void the warranty)

Took a 3 week vacation several years ago and rented a passat tdi..drove like a bat outa hell on the autobahn..about 125mph fully loaded with suit cases etc...didnt fill up till I had to turn it in...thats 7 years ago.

That TDI destroys the Prius in Gas mileage and in Co2 release.
Even the current 2.0TDI beats the Prius.
Ironic isn't it?

5th Gear did some tests with Bluemotion, the claimed 60-70mpg was not attained, they only got around 40mpg..
