Nissan GTR Vspec video

Just when you thought there was nothing more to see or read about Nissan’s GT-R super-coupe, a brand new prototype turns up at the Nurburgring and allegedly scorches the time set by previous test-mules.

The new car is a prototype for the upcoming Spec-V version of the new R35 GTR and according to initial reports it will lap the 20+km track in just 7m 25s.

This latest video shows the car as it undergoes testing and reveals a number of important clues about the new model.

Turn in seems to be sharper, maybe because the front weight a lot less.

This is (probably) the best AWD you can get.

So how underrated is the V-Spec going to be. It has been written that during Dyno tests the GTR is making near 530hp (at the crank) instead of the claimed 485hp. SO if the V-Spec is supposed to have 550hp I wouldn't be surprised if it's actually pushing 600hp.

as you can see when they used other dyno they have different results but GTR has that same hp as porsche 911 so I doubt GTR has 530hp becouse then 911 also must has 530hp .

plus with better aerodynamics and brakes.

after seeing regular GT-R numbers, I won't be surprised if that thing matches million dollars super exotics like Koenigseggs and Paganis.

The car looks much faster coming into the bend and getting out of it compared to the regualr R35 GTR, and the suspension looks track spec and looks quite stiff, almost no sliding(very little wheel screeching compared to the regular GTR) or body roll observed(whereas from what i have seen in the nurburgring clip of the R35 GTR in the regular R35 there was a bit of sliding and very small body rollaround very fast curving corners).

I think it has to do more with loss of about 300lb of weight than power increase. The car looks much lighter and much more faster around tight bends and corners. Although i must say i am also very impressed by how well the power is being distributed to all 4 wheels, because of such well torque splitting, there is very little sliding of the wheels and very normal wheel screeching noise.

And also breaking looks faboulous, the car is able to brake quickly and change direction much faster from what i see.

The poor Mercedes in the video had no chance of rivalling the GTR, but it seemed like the driver believed his car was as good as the GTR and he was pushing for it to go pass the V GTR. But the Godzilla went awesomely fast and really that C class could not compete.
