Could the A8GCS be the basis for a new Maserati baby coupe?

Revealed at the 2008 Concorso d’Eleganza Villa d’Este, the new A8 GCS Berlinetta is a design study by the newly relauched Carrozerria Touring Superleggera. But could this new small coupe design study become a reality for the Maserati lineup?

According to Carrozerriz Touring Superleggera, the A8 GCS Berlinetta is just an idea as of right now. However, Maserati is considering adding a small new coupe priced between £50,000 and £60,000 to take on the Porsche 911, Mercedes CLK, Nissan GT-R and the BMW M3.

btw hao420: I disagree. Ever seen the Maserati Bora? (made early 70s) If I ever get to chose which car I could get for free, I would chose that one.
