Acura denies rumors of NSX being priced around $200k

Work on the next-generation has been completed and you can breathe a sigh of relief because it has been totally redesigned from the fugly 2007 Detroit Auto Show concept. Recently, rumors have been circulating the internet that next-generation Acura NSX will be priced to compete with Ferraris and Lamborghinis.

Being a bit skeptical like most of us, our friends over at AutoBlog, contacted Mike Spencer, an Acura press contact, who confirmed that his comments were taken out of context and that an official price on the next NSX is still yet to be determined.

Tell Honda put the current NSX-R back to production line again & drop the price same as E92 M3, i will consider to buy one. $200K for new NSX ???

if Lexus sells the LF-A for that much money it's success is not going to be dependent on it "spanking" the GT-R. That's Ferrari, Lamborghini, Bentley, Maserati, and Aston Martin money. None of those spank the GT-R, and they don't have much trouble selling them. Someone buying a car that expensive isn't driving over to the Nissan dealer to cross shop it with a track car that's 1/2 the price. They buy them because they want them and want the image the car portrays. That doesn't mean I think the LF-A will be successful at $180k, I have no idea. Just that if they price it that way they'll have other things dictating sales success that don't involve the GT-R (such as people wondering why they should buy a Lexus when they could buy that Ferrari/Lambo/Bentley/Aston Martin/etc. for the same money).
