2009 BMW 335tii

2009 BMW 335tii
While talked about for a while, BMW seems committed to making the 'tii' moniker a label you will see on more than just the 1-Series.  Shown below is a rendition of the 2009 335tii, notice on the front bumper the tii logo.  Article is in this June's Automobile Magazine.

With the addition of the 'tii' moniker, it seems as though BMW could have 2 performance divisions, the M and now the tii.  If the 335tii makes it to production, aside from the V8 in the M3, it will be interesting to see what performance modifications are made over a standard 335i to differentiate the tii.

That's why I used the word "rendition" when posting. It is still a pretty good looking car though.

That's how the 335 should have looked like! I don't like the current look.

So if BMW has 2 performance divisions, which will be the top-end division - M or tii?

I've heard rumors which contradict each other, so I was wondering if any Agent here had some light to shed.

Thank you kthor for your insight.

As a car enthusiast, I welcome BMW's offer with the options of both power/tech (M) and track/agility (tii).

My only problem will be the dilemma of which I prefer once the tii's roll out! ;P

The only question mark is, will M CSL vehicles still exist? They seem a bit redundant at this point.

EL34, Ok we all know that "is" should be "it", a quick typo. However, how many times have you made mistakes, and not just typos, here on autospies?..Remember your use of the psueo-word "Robotery"...that was classic! and so many more that just made no sense.

This seems as R is to RS with Audis.

335i, 335tii, M3
A4, S4, RS4

I think of tii as a lighter wieght car of the normal BMWs. It doesn't come with a more powerful engine. So M will remain the ultimate for performance.

Whoever photoshopped this should at least put the logo on right- Backward Tii is quite retarded.

I also think M division is being diluted. This really is nothing more than CSL lite... Already too many cars in BMW's line up- For ex, do you really need 3 suvs like x3,x5,x6?

No, they need 4 of them. Here comes the X1

The logo is supposed to read backwards like the old tii turbo
