Revealed: New Honda Legend

Honda has used this weekend’s Busan Auto Show in South Korea to debut its facelifted flagship Legend sedan, which arrives exactly two months after the debut of its sister model, the 2009 Acura RL, back at February’s Chicago Auto Show.

Like its Acura sibling, the new Honda sedan is just a mild refresh of the previous model that has been on sale in global markets since 2005.

The back looks very LS-esk. They need to do something about the back-up (not sure what they are called, the white ones)lights... they look really weird

If Honda keep bring out horrendous designd like this I can see Acura sink faster than a Titanic. I thought I will NEVER said this, but Hyundai Sonata design is more appealing than this Honda Legend.

I wonder what were those design thinking or where they went to school to design such an ugly car.

i think this car works better as a car above the accord maybe somewhere in the Avalon, or Maxima ballpark, exterior wise it just doesnt look like anything more than a stretched Accord, and with all that fake wood, and the Accord V6 i cant picture this car being priced as high as it is

Here in middle East we get the Honda Legend(not the refreshed/new one) with the 3.5l V6 making 300BHP(Accord makes 275BHP).

Legend 3.5L V6 08MY

Performance Data

Engine: 3.5L, V6 SOHC VTEC
Power: 296hp @ 6,200 rpm
Torque: 35.8 kgm @ 5,000 rpm
Transmission: SH-AWD (Super Handling All Wheel Drive)

So that's very competitive and on par with GS350, Infiniti M35, 535i...etc

Styling is fine according to me and it's got a nice high quality interior. Pricing is again a strong point as it is quite less than the GS350 or 535i. So Legend/RL(not the new one) is not that bad how some people are making it to be, infact it's really good. And we are going to get the new one in 2 months time and it will be even better.

It doesn't sell that well though. I barely see any of them. It's a very rare sight, and the dealer doesn't have one for show..

Acura needs to pull their finger out. Awful! Put a V8 in the darn thing. ACURA, IT'S YOUR FLAGSHIP SEDAN!

Well I must say the Honda Legend does look a little better than the Acura RL with that space plate on the grill. This car is going nowhere fast. The next generation is serious going to be the make or break for this model seriously. They're going to need a V-8 in the worst way. Keep the SH-AWD and live up to the performance-luxury the company was built on and not the technology-luxury/crap that they are stuck on now. When I was younger I wanted an Acura Legend so bad (92-95) but now I'll pass. But I'm still hoping for Acura to get it together. They make really decent cars (TL) but they just can't seem to compete.
