Vauxhall VXR8 receives new power figures from 6.2L V8

If Domestic car makers would sell more cars like this in the America, Domestic cars would dominate U.S. sales. Instead we get a front wheel drive Impala SS. Talk about an insult to the cars history. Bravo and that engine looks great the way they dressed it up.

Umm, they do and get slandered by the haters. The GTO and G8 are both rebadged Holdens as is the Vauxhall in this article. The upcoming G8 GXP is basically the LS2 version of this Vauxhall and it will be universally criticised by the BMW/Lexus fan club on this board (and I'm on my 6th BMW).

I agree lewishamiltonpimp. Fact is these cars werent meant to compare to BMW they were made to give comparable performance at a fraction of the price. not eveyone wants a luxury car or pay so much just to have the performance. some just want a regular interior and want the performance. I think Pontiac is doing the right thing, and why bash them for bringing what people want. I think its messed up that they get slandered by haters. they hate because we don't have those cars and then when we put the effort and bring one they still aren't satisfied. they just complain oh BMW is better, or Lexus is better. these cars werent made to compete with those marques, thats what cadillac is there for. I say bravo for pontiac giving americans what they want without having to spend BMW or Banz money to get the performance they want and deserve. It's like the Vette. Sure it doesn't have the fine handcrafted quality material porshce and the other like have but they want to give porsche ferrari etc levels of performance to those who can't afford it or don't care about fancy interiors.

Yeah, why is it that even the cheap rentals cars down there have rear wheel drive!
