Beaten With An Ugly Stick: BMW F3 Crossover Prototype Caught On The Streets
This BMW F3 prototype test mule was spotted recently. What's interesting about this particular test mule compared to past spyshots is the camoflaged front-end (previous versions had the E90 sedan's front end).

This indicates that the F3's eventual front-end design is most likely on this car under the camoflage. Look for the rest of the car to be camoflaged eventually as actual exterior F3 panels are added to the rest of the car.

"Beaten With An Ugly Stick" Quite an overly provocative title for a 3er wagon with heavy camouflage, don't you think.

Dear BMW,

Please stop making these wack ass X6 F3 crap. If anything you should've made the X7 which woulda had a purpose. I mean fine, I'll let the X6 slide but start prducing a mid engined sports car already and where the heck is the CS concept, SL competitor, etc...?? BMW or Chris Bangle is just trying to prove that they can come out with creative design too like Mercedes did with the CLS. So why don't they create some cool cars and stop messin with useless SAVs...Maybe they should sell themselves to Jeep pretty soon if they keep this up.

Kind of reminds me of that Top Gear episode where they put two different cars' ends together to make one car.

Isn't it supposed to be like the Allroad? So is it based off the 5 series?

Looks like BMW is throwing turds of all sizes and shapes our way to see which ones stick :)

losing market share in each segment? no worry, create a whole new segment and declare yourself the leader!

Since when are they losing market share in every segment, their sales continue to rise every year. Try posting facts for a change instead of overtly-biased drivel...

looks like bm's answer to audi q5/sline? in the looks department, if the audi q5 mule was anything to go by i'd say its too early to tell? ...even with hints.

It seems that BMW thinks that there's more room in the segment already occuppied by the XC70 and the all-road? That sort of hybrid wagon crossover. Seems like alot waste of engineering on a such a small class.

What the hell? Where does this fit into the lineup? In that vast, unexplored niche between the 3 Series wagon and X3?

BMW could really make it work, but...why?

these people are odd.....ok this OBVIOUSLY is a 3 series wagon with a front covering to not see the styling, and has been raised up this isnt a real car.......what are you people talking about....

We KNOW. But it's still happening, and it will still come out as a real product eventually.

This isn't the final concept, but the idea of the car is still questionable and up for debate.

Sorry kthor, but BMW makes mistakes too.

It's raised. The only other explanation is that it's a new X3, but why would that have a new front end that was grafted on?

This is all speculation really. Because it looks like a lifted 3er, for all we know they are just testing suspension for X3 updates.

Looks like an elongated Q7.

I think the Bangle legacy of crap designs is still strong.

Even with the camo on, it's way better looking than the X6!

Looks like a Q7 but probably meant to be an R-Class competitor...
