As silly as the grille is, at least it's not as bad as the new Acura ones.

Whats up with the American Honda Motor Company & their choice of grille design???

It's called infiltration...by ex-Saturn designers. ha. And they are ruining both Honda and Acura. (not funny) I'm a Honda fan, but this SUV/CUV/whatever, is going to get smoked by the new Highlander. I've seen a ton of them (Highlanders) on the road already and it's actually very nice looking. Can't say that about the new Pilot.

Who cares, it's the ugliest thing Honda has produced since...well...since the new Accord. Seems their design team has become lax or replaced with morons who know nothing of consumer demand.

I am still shocked how they went from redesigned projector headlamps and nice slotted grille to this big ridgeline gone mad mouth with huge headlamps reminiscent of a Toyota Tacoma. Why not keep the chiseled projectors and offer an HID system and make the taillamps LED.

Why manufacturers don't utilize HID or LED taillamps into almost all of their cars is beyond me. They are more reliable, safer, and cost effective now. BMW still likes to charge you $700 for a bi-xenon kit that most anyone can pickup for about $100 nowadays. Heck I paid $70 for my Xentec kit and after 3 months, love it still!

mikeydred20,you're right, the new Pilot look great,i think that honda made a mistake by bringing it to close to the MDX,i was in the process to trade my 06 Pilot for the MDX,i change my mind after seing the top of the line Pilot, great interior,i like the new shifter, they increase the engine which is good because
the 09 Pilot is bigger than tthe last generation Pilot,0 to 60 8.2 second, that's better than a chevy yukon,17/23 mpg,the same game mileage that most 6 cyl family

They increase the engine torque for better pulling power,it the same 3.5 v6 that the Odyssey, last generation MDX and Pilot.Someone mention that the highlander would smoke the new Pilot, check out the torque and weight of the highlander and the new Pilot, the hp for the toy is higher than the pilot but honda does a good job bringing the pilot torque up.

I do not think Honda is in the buisness of trying to smoke the smaller Highlander, plus the Pilot was never about performance that is what the MDX and SH-AWD is for
