It's great INFINITI adds 7 speed auto as it smooths out 1-2-3 gears, and increase fuel economy.

I'll say it still needs:

1. 275 rear tires(at least for sport package).
2. More neutral stock sway bar setting.
3. 8000rpm 3.5L than 7500rpm 3.7L engine.

As I drive I always feel the body and chassis rigidity has not catched up w/ engine. Higher peak torque is the last thing this car needs.

Agent 004, No you can't enter a new destination but if I remember correctly you're allowed to to choose previous destinations up to 5 to choose from. Very annoying not to be able to use it at all times.

The G37 coupe was the most disappointing car I ever drove. It felt like a car that has less than 200 HP.
Up to 5000 RPM the car feels severely underpowered and the engine sounds like a vacuum cleaner that is about to blow up. Absolute junk! I would take even a Lexus IS350 over it any day. Granted the IS350 is not a great car but at least it doesn't feel underpowered.

Let me state the facts again. The G37 is the biggest POS car(over 30K dollars) I ever drove. I tested 3 G37s, two with manual transmission and one with automatic and all of them were cramped, underpowered rattle boxes, with notchy gearbox(manual), bad brakes, huge body roll and weak, awful sounding engine. They idle like tractors and have the same fit and finish as any other econobox made by Nissan.

I think star maybe on to something, especially if he drove the g37 after the 335i. I love Infiniti and own an fx, so i have no bias towards the product. The g37's weight penalty and lack of low end torque makes it feel a little less powerfull then the 330hp might suggest. One thing which definetly suprised me was a stop light drag race i had when driving our 750li company car home. A g37 with the optional sport package pulled up to the light, as soon asthe light turned green we both took off, the 750li's wheels churped a little, while the g37 did not (the driver was break torquing also). The whole race up to 70 mph, we were identical, with the nose of my car about a foot ahead of the g37. I was in disbelief, at the next light i had asked the driver of the g37 if he was driving the 6 speed, he said no. We did another run and the results were the same.

Compact Flash is a form of memory card, so on the new G37 you could load up a card with music from your computer and plug it into the car to download to the hard drive or to listen to straight off the card.

leave the smaller engine to Nissan. i would hate to see a sub 3L from Infiniti/Lexus/Acura. if you cannot keep up with the extra 10 dollar at pump every week, you should not be afford an extra 15k + price tag when you get a car.

no offense to Nissan, they make great cars. but when they set their infiniti as luxury/sport brand, there is no better way to dilute it than introducing a 2L/2.5L with less than 250 hp.

Audi has a 2.0L turbo 4-cylinder engine in the A4 making less than 250hp. It's still regarded as a decent luxury car. The Lexus IS250 also makes less than 250hp. Other brands have made it work. I don't see any reason why Infiniti couldn't.

Like I said. Higher gas prices. People are caring less and less about 0-60 times and more about how to save money at the pump. However, there is an easy way to fuse this; forced injection. Look at the new A4 2.0T. It has 211hp and 258lb ft of torque. It will accelerate from 0-60 in 6.5-7 seconds and will get 30MPG+ on the highway.

What I drive is irrelevant to this discussion. I switch cars every few months so what I drive now or what I will drive tomorrow is not going to affect my opinions. I'm really not biased toward any brand.
The G37 is a really disappointing car. It should not be a problem for anybody to accept that. Was I happy to discover that? No, I wasn't. I would not mind spending less money and getting a great car but the G37 is nowhere near even an acceptable car. It is what the enthusiasts call... a POS.
I can see that I got a lot of negative feedback on this thread but I cannot say I'm surprised. I'm in fact proven right again about things like the American buyers being brainwashed. I just love the G35 sedan, this car looks so distinct with it's sculpted, shaped, and dynamically molded architecture, the who car looks to be made from one piece of sheet metal, and the headlights and katana blade grill adorning the silken body with the razor sharpness of poise and purpose. The design is magnificent, very much emotive, and complex, yet so pure and contradiction free. Add to that performance that is almost a match up to that of 335i, and perfection in a car under 40K price tag is embodied. The BMW 3 series almost has an anonymous look to it, very much pedestrian and uninspiring, whereas the G35 is just full of it. I love this G35 sedan.

Actually you can program the nav while the vehicle is moving. The nav system has voice recognition. Press a button on the steering wheel and the system guides you through the process. It is hands down one of the best nav systems on the market if not the best.

Who has a factory nav that will allow programing on the screen while driving? I was under the impression the nav input is legislated to be disabled for the same reason you cannot get factory video display on the front screen while driving. It could be a very dangerous distraction for the driver.

They better have the Manual on the base model still. Now the lease will be more expensive - Great! I hope the current base models r around till Dec.

OK - I drive an Infiniti M35 and hoped that eventually Infiniti would introduce a vehicle that gets better than 19 mpg that I get on my M. I love the brand - I have owned 7 Nissan vehicle and this is my first Infiniti and can't express how impressed I am with the vehicle and the service I receive. My lease is up in less than a year and I'm looking for improved gas mileage - it is a trend that will continue. I'd love to have a nice looking vehicle with all the bells and whistles that gets great gas mileage. I hear Lexus might make the Prius as a luxury vehicle - I'll be the first in line. SO - the new improved G37 is not going to get my lease if the gas mileage sucks.

well i guess ppl can deboost me like they deboost star but i actually have to agree with him on a couple of things. i do find that the g37 does rattle a bit much and it is rough on idle compared to a 335 coupe. i think that the g37 has enough torque but i do prefer the torque delivery of turbo charged engines. i agree with him on the sound of the car as well, i live in queens and i work in brooklyn. i hear alot of vq35 engines, the vq37 doesnt sound any better to my ears. i actually always thought the cars sound like there moaning a horrible death, its not sexy, it doesnt sound nearly as good as a 335 or my co workers 530. i just dont really get it. i do think the car handles pretty well though. but i would have to agree that the interior is not the greatest either but neither is the bmw, im personally an audi interior fan myself. and i didnt find the seats that comfortable but thats just personal preference.
