Next Mercedes S Spied again!- Part 1

2006 Mercedes S Class – New Styling Cues Visible!

Codenamed W221, this pre-production 2006 S Class test car was caught in Germany with just a smidgen of camouflage hiding a handful of details.

The seventh-generation S Class measures in larger than today’s version, and will offer a new lineup of engines including V6 and V8 offerings, and an all-new 3.0-liter V6 diesel with over 230-horsepower, as well as a 4.0-liter V8 diesel. Other options will likely include a 6.3-liter V8 with 600-horsepower and a 6.5-liter twin-turbo V12.

Bells and whistles, as expected, will likely include pedestrian air bags which would eject from the grille if it senses such an impact, as well as an advanced crash avoidance system and an estimated sixteen airbags!

You can get a good idea as to the new S Class styling here, and these pictures are the very first ones to show the huge wheelarch bulges (predicted TWO YEARS ago by Auto Spies). Or you can wait its official introduction, at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.

Kudos for Mercedes for finally getting into senses and designing an Hybrid version S-class (S-class is top of the line MB). BMW is finally catching on and designing an Hybrid also. Mercedes design has always been boring but I like it.

You are wrong man, Lexus is the true benchmark of all luxury car manufactuer..I don't think anyone even comes close to Lexus right now..but hopefully they get some competition soon. But for now..Lexus and Infiniti is setting all the standard for the luxury brands.

Listen you big fat moran..what did you meant by "Sales don't say anything"? Correction: SALES MEANS EVERTHING. Its how you don't become a G.M. or Ford..I hope you don't become a sales person..b/c if you explain to your boss "Sir, I'm a sales person but to me...well, Sales don't mean anything." I bet you'd be fired and be standing on a soup line.
