Why would anyone buy a NEW pickup or SUV? Resale has been DESTROYED. If you need one, just buy a 6-12 month old one from a private party for about 40% less than they paid.

Most folks are not car enthusiasts. To them a car is transportation, not for having fun.Saying that they still want luxury.Toyota has through careful marketing put the mindset into people that a Camry is like Zerox to copiers.Nothing wrong with a Camry but if you're a car enthusiast you know there is better out there.

despite all the criticisms, people LOVE appliance-level RELIABILITY. would you PUT UP with a freezer or fridge that needed repairs several times a year?

there is NO BETTER ultra reliable vehicle than the camry. i know MANY people with 20-yr old camrys STILL being used as daily drivers.

you don't like that simple REALITY, go cry in your milk.

how do you think i MISread it? i don't deny that MOST people are non-enthusiasts. i actually explained why MOST car buyers actually LOVE 'appliances!' toyotas and hondas being the MOST ROBUST vehicles under minimal/NO maintenance ownership, it is no wonder they sell so well.

why do so many 'enthusiasts' ASSUME people should PUT UP WITH high maintenance vehicles, just for a little fun?
