So we finally saw the first official sketched of the upcoming baby-Phantom, otherwise known as the RR4. So what’s the point of this new model and what can we expect?

Well Rolls-Royce currently sells fewer than 1,000 Phantom models a year. With pricing of the RR4 to be right above $225,000, sales are expected increase well over a 1,000 units a year.

The Rolls-Royce RR4 will share platform with upcoming next-generation 2009 BMW 7-Series. Even though the platform will help cut some of the pounds, the RR4 is still expected to weigh well...

I agree - they are certainly similar. But I remember a sketch in Road & Track, AGES AGO, when I was a kid, maybe like in the late 70s or early 80s, when (I think this is his name) Mark Stehrenberger did the renderings, that actually looked a lot like this. And it reminded me of a Cadillac back then too. It was remarkably modern looking, and for some reason I never forgot that sketch.
