EXCLUSIVE PHOTOS: Spies Catch The Next Z4 In SoCal-Baby 6-Series?
Ace Spy photographer Freddy K has done it again.

He's caught the next BMW Z4 testing in SoCal.

Looks like the new Z4 has a lot of 6-series influence in the design.

This guy is the most dangerous guy in Socal with his cell phone camera!

All he needs now is the 5 megapixel iPhone!

Way to go Fred!

Personally, I Find This To Be Potentially Better Looking/Proportioned Than The Cabrio 6...

One Thing's Certain, The Top, Even On This Test Mule, Appears Much Better Looking/Fitting Than The 6 Series Fabric Top With It's Multitude Of Cheap Looking Folds and Wrinkles.

It's Not Difficult To Discern The General Proportions and Certain Details Like The Shape Of The Side Glass And Top Assembly, Which To Me, Have The Potential To Look More Aesthetically Pleasing/Balanced Than The 6 Cabrio...

If You Don't See It - Fine...

your right its not hence the fact that it is clear that its a hard top......not a soft top at all...hence the camo....you can tell by how its curved and how the body lines flow with the top....thats its not a rag top at all........but anyone that saids a "rag top" with a flying butress desighn as opposed to the shaking glass contraption that is most rag tops..has several cheap looking folds I'm sure is certainly the expert on these things....

Hopefully it's a more coherent design than the current Z4, which could have used a few more hours in the oven

I think BMW should just make the M coupe steering rack standard on the regular models, or part of the M-Sport pack.

Then They Wouldn't Be Able To Offer It At Extra Costs...

Looks like it got 2-3 inches wider, which should be a good thing.

As I said before, Z4 needs to get rid of that stupid electric steering, which is totally numb. I cannot feel a thing when test driving it. It's a degradation to the whole BMW family.

P.S. Do yourself a favor dumb-ass, and take the 135i for a test spin and then come back and talk about econo-boxes..

Although there is a bit of truth about BMW's using cheap plastics. They gave it a shot with the E60 but quickly realized that they weren't too good at making cheap look expensive (like Lexus). So the next year they improved the interior plastics and BMW's have had top-notch (albeit boring) interiors ever since.

What happened to the Flame-Surfacing and Slab-Sides? This along with the 7-series spy pics confirms that the de-bangalization is in full force at BMW.

It's covered in plastic armor-like material.
