2010 BMW 5-Series Spied

2010 BMW 5-Series Spied
BMW is preparing the next-generation of its 5-Series for launch in 2010 β€” 2009 for the European market and Motor Authority managed to get some spy photos. When the new 5-Series finally arrives β€” likely in 2010 β€” it will be available with the same 400hp twin-turbo V8 found in the X6, which would put it close to the current BMW M5. It’s also rumored the 6cylinder version of the 5 series will keep the twin turbo 6cylinder engine used in the 535i model. The next-generation 5-series is expected to feature an eight-speed automatic transmission with an all-wheel drive option being available. Also notice the quad-exhaust which really shows this 5 series means business and will most likely have current M5 performance speeds.

For some reason I can almost tell how the headlights will look like... From what I see, it looks very understated. It has half "eye brows". Not as stretched as the current one but still there.

wow, "handle better", the BMW is still the benchmark in this class.....the Infiniti is simply cheaper....any test comparing the M with a 5, or E class had it winning due to the BMW's price but they always say the 5 is the better car......its a luxury car why are you raving about it being cheaper(for obvious reasons)

Wait...you say the Infiniti M is the class leader but then say the GS and E-class are better? That makes no sense.

Jaguar's XF need not worry with styling as bland as this...

Why is this a new story every day? We've not seen any more of the car at all since the first pics, but every time it's "spotted" we get a new story on it.

A bit on the big side, but looks nice. I hope BMWs don't keep getting bigger forever--apparently, the new "short" wheelbase 7 Series will be almost as long as the current 750Li.
