Spy Shots: 2010 Audi TT-RS
This new car is supposed to be the fastest Audi TT ever built. The new car is the performance RS variant of the TT and it’s expected to be launched in both coupe and roadster forms at the end of this year. Sources indicate power could come from a 2.5L turbocharged five-cylinder with output closer to 365 horsepower. Sales of the Audi TT-RS are expected to begin sometime in 2009. This car will be really amazing and can’t wait to get performance specs. Also check out this older post of an Audi TT going 0-60 in 3.5

I am find the TT oddly alluring. Its like seeing a woman who isn't attractive but there's something about her that draws you in.

Maybe she's so ugly you feel sorry for her - in a caring way of course :)

How is the TT unattractive???

I saw a silver coupe yesterday. Beautiful! It's simply the most beautiful car you can have for under $40K!

I wonder what it's actually going to be called if Porsche gets it's way and disallows any non-Porsche to carry the RS name at the end.

The TT is starting remind me of the 911. No matter how much they change it, it still looks the same.

Looks awesome. Only issue I see regards price point. With the regular TT starting at 34k at rising quickly with options, this TT-RS could be in 50k and up range - a bit high for a glorified TT. But then again, isn't that what an M3 is?

Uh, isn't that what a Z4 M is? What's a GT3 other than a souped up 911? An S65 AMG, at nearly $200K, is just an S-Class with a big engine.

That pretty much covers every single performance variant of any car on the market. Believe me, the TT-RS will be worth the money.

An S65 is only 200k in the US? Lucky you, it's over 300k here.

How much is the Maybach there? It's about $350K base here, with the 62S coming in at $450,000. Only an idiot would buy one.

Base it's $520,000, and the 62S is $700,000. It's quite a lot of money. For comparison, a RR Phantom starts at $520,000, the Drophead Coupe is $610,000 and the LWB Phantom is $620,000.

Oh and of the $520,000 for the RR or Maybach, around $70,000 is sales tax.

Hopefully they follow the A3, S3 pricing style and keep it so that the 5-Cylinder is less expensive than the 6-cylinder.
