Maserati today took the wraps off its refreshed Quattroporte sedan, which receives a number of exterior and mechanical updates for the 2009 model year. The automaker also announced the addition of an ā€œSā€ variant of the sedan, with the same powerplant as the GranTurismo S.

WHATTHE, no offense but anyone could pull that answer off of Wikipedia. FIAT only controlled them for 4 years before selling them entirely to Ferrari in 99. Car companies often exchange hands, esp smaller car (limit #s) and esp in modern global economies. Hopefully now they are in good hands and can move forward!
