The Toyota iQ snapped being tested

The new Toyota iQ which is pretty much ready for production has just been snapped. The model is meant to rival the Smart ForTwo but the iQ concept has taken it a bit further, with there being a little space at the back for either a child or some luggage.

Hmmm. It will be interesting to see how this machine stacks up against the SmartCar, Volkswagen Up!, the Fiat 500, and BMW's Isetta design.

Oops! I forgot to include the Mini Cooper and the Audi A1 in the comparison. This should be fun.

Despite your trolling, MichaelTaylor, lets at least hope you are right with your point on the better fuel economy plus run on regular gas instead of premium like in the Smart.

Well it's already been tested that an M3 can have better MPG than a Toyota Prius so they should becareful with the claims they make. Diesels could get better mileage :).

Toyota at it trying to borrow ideas from the marquee luxury company. It looks too close to a Smart car in my opinion. At least the VW Up looks different.

Is it more important to seem to be smart and then shown to be dumb when you open your mouth, or to know when to shut up with a higher iQ ?

Thanks, btw it wasn't aimed at you. It was more for people who think that Toyota is getting ideas from MB. Remember that the Japanese started with small cars and then moved on with bigger cars. Whilst firms like MB started with big cars and moved down.. So who is copying who, or is it to do with the needs of the market ?
i
Anyway in my opnion the iQ loks better thana smart.

LOL! true, that!

the japanese are SO FAR AHEAD of everyone else on efficient micro cars, that even proud MB has had to source the engine for the smart from MITSUBISHI!

the IQ will be many points ahead out of the gate.
