More Lexus RX spy shots

As the only SUV with a hybrid-drive option available for sale, the Lexus RX 400h could be extremely well-positioned to capitalise on increasing petrol prices.

The current model has not seen tremendous sales since the recent price spike, however this is likely due to its steep initial cost and more focus on the comparable V6 model.

The next-generation model, and its hybrid drivetrain, will be essential in cementing Lexus’ technological lead over the competition and staying ahead of increasing oil prices.

The new Camry has been out since March 2006 -- you would think the RX would have been updated on that sooner.

The RX is not the only hybrid SUV currently on sale, what are the Ford Escape/Mercury Mariner, Saturn Vue, Chevy Tahoe/GMC Yukon, even Toyota's own Highlander. Uniformed writer clearly biased towards Lexus but missing the fact they are just a Toyota.

I would almost argue you made a borderline compliment to BMW and Mercedes-Benz in your statement "...a very competitive X5 and ML."

Maybe you aren't as biased as people think you are.

MT, the RX does not compete with the ML and X5, it competes with the lincoln MKX, Acura MDX ETC.

New RX (much) the same as the old RX, which is itself little more than a gussied-up Camry wagon, and a rather strangely proportioned one at that...

To compare this 'parts bin' automotive concoction to the masterfully engineered X5 and ML is simply ridiculous.

Actually the reason the article says that weird comment about being the only hybrid SUV is because the article is based out of australia, and so it could be true for australian drivers that it is the only hybrid suv on their market. It's just not true here in the states. It's about time that the RX has been updated as it's been on the market without a major change in awhile and it has been lagging behind other vehicles being updated; without much word about changes for the model. I don't particularly like the shape but it has done well over the years...
