Another truck ... ho hum. Yes, it's a nice looking truck but trucks are dumb and boring. Oh yes, there are rumors that gas prices are on the high side.

The allroad was ahead of its time. Still is. Fast, comfortable and handsome. Still is.

Maybe they will build the diesel allroad that they showed at the NY Auto Show. I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

The Q7 is a mid-sized SUV. Although based on the same platform as the Cayenne and Touareg, it will extend more towards the rear to accomidate optional third-row seating.

The Q7 will not replace the Allroad quattro.

A new variant of the Allroad quattro is currently being fast-tracked into production. It may or may not take the name Q6.

In addition, there will be a smaller crossover vehicle called the Q5. It will be based on the forthcoming B8 platform, the same platform as the next generation A4 sedan and A5 coupe.

As you can see by the photographs, it will probably follow in the new A6's footsteps and become another design sensation.

Just for the record, the photos posted by H.L. are not official pictures, but Photoshops from Auto Motor und Sport.

The front is quite close to the actual production model (with the exception of the foglight grill), but the back is a little off. The headlight shapes and hatch shutlines of the real model are slightly more rounded.
