The BMW 335d has been spotted again in Germany. Our friend Adit pointed out a few interesting things and put together an amazing short analysis.

This is an US spec model because of the front reflector. It probably is also a 335d since there is the urea replacement port on the rear left portion of the body.

The new iDrive is more than likely present in this car because:
- 2nd optical drive is missing and the track buttons have been moved under the 6FL buttons.
- The 2 customizable buttons have been removed from the steering wheel and is the same as the non-iDrive counterpart.

Confirmation of US model again since it says FM/AM and Mode instead of 7 and 8 for 6FL. Additionally, the speedometer is in MPH and there is only a front fog light button, again only in the US.

Finally, the signals in the back look red and not amber tinged as in the rest of the world.

Back in April, BMW announced that the BMW 335d and the X5d will be coming to the States in October '08, but a recent rumor going around says that the BMW diesel engines launch in the U.S will be delayed.

Yes, the interior of the Lexus does look like the interior of an 1880's western brothel...
Which is as it should be given the price you pay..

MichaelTaylor- an auto purchase is about what makes you happy. If interiors are your thing than more power to you. You and my grandmother would get along well (for real, no sarcasm intended). For me, if the day ever comes when interior stitching and chrome accents become more important than 0-60 times and handling, I hope my children just take the keys away.

But for you, I say be proud of your soft jazz, 9 PM bed time and sand mica Lexus ES. Roll quietly out of that stop light, actually slow down to 15 mph for that right-hander and whatever you do, don't ever, ever, turn that traction control off (assumming you could)... fight on brother!

A popular taxi-car that you even can't afford :P. Just because a car's a cab doesn't mean anything. Their the base of the base made for the long haul.

If you guys saw a Lexus IS as a cab you guys would use an excuse as "oh what a wonderful choice, the companies have chosen a great car and the passengers will be happy" Oh please!

no I think the engine overheating issue was addressed with the addition of a oil cooler.
