"Why the Jaguar XJ is the Best Choice What Do You Think"? I think whomever wrote this needs both a clue AND to attend english 101.

Face it, the xj is nothing, the bottom-scraper of the class. I think xj stands for Xtreme Joke.

If you truly love the car, you would say the same thing. With my dad's Lincoln Navigator, of course it's low quality and it's 7 years old and people hate it and so on. But I adore the car since I've experienced the terrors with the car since I was 5. I've seen all the journey's it's been on, how it almost tipped over a ferry, and how much power it has. The thing with the cars you like is, no matter how bad or good it is, you will always support it.

I agree. Jagexpert is making my old English teacher turn over in her grave.

I assume she's dead of course.

I don't know why I'm bothering but the A6 isn't related to the Passat...

do you know anything about cars?

the passat and a6 share no components whatsoever. the passat barely share anything with the A4.

audi/vw only cross platforms on the q7/toureag the phaeton/a8 and i think the tiguan/q5 (not too sure about that one)

A6 and Passat are not related.
Thats like calling the GS an Avalon.
Or a LX a Land Cruiser...wait a second.

charlik - Tiguan and Q5 aren't related. If you see them side by side you'll see that the Q5 is considerably bigger, and it is based off the A4/A5, not the Golf as the Tiguan is.

"MichaelTaylor" would you admit that you're slightly biased towards Lexus?

yep, it took lexus 20 years to copy mercedes design and purchase every technology mercedes invented and put it into their cars.

hey i like lexus too. i have had a few of them, and i have had many mercedes benz especially classic models which run over 250,000 miles and were over 30 years old.

"Do you know what is better than a mercedes????
......
......
A mercedes!"

Slightly? The most ridiculous thing about this website is the idiots that slam anyone or anything that doesn't pay hommage to what they (pretend to???) drive.

The Jag has the smallest interior, it is very old fashioned inside, its range of engines isn't that great, there's none of the cool technology that Merc, Lexus, Audi or BMW offer and it looks like the old model. I like Jag, my mother has an XKR Convertible, but the XJ just isn't very competitive.

The face-lifted model (current) does not look like the old XJ. It has just the right amount of aggression. There is a LWB version of the XJ which is the best seller that has a much or even more space than any car in this class.

Really all arguments aside the levels of luxury in any cars mentioned are top-notch. We hear of stories that Jags breaking down but it could just be a bad apple of the bunch. All manufacturers have faulty products no one is PERFECT!.

Lets see Lexus had 367594 Recalls on Just one model. The RX 400H
Jaguar Had 10,000 for the whole year.

Lexus built slightly over a million cars Jaguar about 75000.

So Jaguars defect rate by recall is 7.5% vs Lexus on Just 1 model of over 36%.

Which car is more reliable and better built?
