Photos-A look back at the original Boxster concept

Even thought the Boxster has been around for a while, we thought it would be cool to take a look back at the Boxster concept shown in 1993.

Interestingly enough after all these years, we still think the concept is still better looking than the actual production car.

Love the guage cluster and those little fans in the vents.

I wish they would have made it to production.

What are your thoughts?

The production boxster is actually very close to the concept car. Largest change was to the shape. Real car is slightly more humped to provide a decent trunk space. Also, the air intakes were deemed inefficient for cooling and picked up road debris. The rest of the changes were just for production efficiencies. Those trick little details like the fans never seem to make in into production.
