As much as I am a MB enthusiast I can't say many positive things for the R-Class. The way I view it is it's just an expensive van with a hefty price tag because it's got the refinement of a Mercedes interior as well as the badge.

IMO, if i wanted a well built and much cheaper van I would opt for a Honda Odyssey or a Toyota Sienna. I wouldn't be able to stand the kids spilling drinks all over the leather seats anyways. Mind you I would feel much better drinks being spilt in a Honda or Toyota lol.

It's just an ugly car!

Depends what you want. I personally don't think you're losing out if you pick one or they other. Their all good cars.
