The ugliest Pre-Bangle BMW




Before everyone started blaming Bangle for the 7, the 5 and the Z, there was one gremlin at BMW that won't soon be forgotten...

And it's name?

The BMW M Coupe




Little did we know when this ugly duckling came out, that it was the first of many eyesores that would make their way into production.

Awesome driving car, but absolutely hideous to look at.

If your looking at it, ok theres some controversy. If your looking out of it however, this is one of the best kept secrets in the Bavarian stable! The Z3 platform was designed stiff from the start for the roofless roadster. When someone gave the go ahead to add the top, this thing became a true rolling Viagra on wheels. I've heard it has a reputation for letting go suddenly at it's extreme limits but I don't of much better for 9/10ths track driving. Sure, I'd put a Lotus Elise against it nowadays for about the same money when new, but the bimmers been around much longer and a good example can be found for much less today. This is not going to be a Pacer or Gremlin in a few years. It has 240Z collectors value written all over it.
