r8 has more appeal, can get the girls, and still is fast. just not a sooped up rice tuner like the gt-r although i love the gt-r. u guys make fun of the r8 so much somebody has to defend it. even the gt-r owners aren't as dumb as some of you making these comments. they know what to respect regardless. in the end of the day it's just a nissan. the lf-a will still be a better car inside and out. its already proven with its better looks. its not always about speed but grace the lf-a has more than a nissan. people want quality sometimes and nissan hasnt had a good past of building quality cars. the 350z is crap. the 300zx is even better than the 350z. so what the heck is that? a reverse?

the nissan is overpriced. for that premium on a nissan i want a screaming engine and a design that will make others envy. it sounds like crap compared to a v10 lf-a and a v10 nsx. but as a car its good. as a collectors item and something to brag to friends, the mass will still view it was an expensive nissan. nothing will change peoples perception. everybody knew about the skyline before and some still think its just a datsun still.

No matter what you folks say about the R8 no one had problems with it before what difference would it make now? Deboosting me because I'm defending a car I bought with my hard earned money. I've given the GT-R the respect it needs ever since the introduction of this car so I don't think I need to be head over heels over a GT-R or worship it like some of you do. Heck I don't even worship my R8. It's a machine and it does the job very well. Overpriced? depends what your standards are. I don't want to come off as arrogant but I've had countless Ferrari and Lamborghini owners locally give me props for my car and yes some Nissan drivers as well. That's the level of respect that can be given in the real world and not behind some computer screen.

I'm not dissing the GT-R. I'm just defending the car I purchased. I've given the Nissan credit time and time again and you guys put down the R8 like it's nothing. It costs another Nissan more but I don't even care about the pricing. I just think you should sit inside a cockpit of an R8 and drive it around for a week then judge. It'd be unfair to call me a badgewhore because I can afford one.

Well if the dick in the Audi had known he was going to go bumper to bumper with a GTR, he should have bought parking sensors. Or buy a Merc with that cruise control thing that slows you down. My theory is that he was too tight to afford the Top-gear magazine.

Regardless of who likes this car or not: I feel bad for the vehicles involved. If it isn't totaled out, it would make a perfect candidate for a project vehicle. I like both the R8 and the GT-R, and would love to be able to afford either.
