IFR Automotive, an award-winning Spanish automotive design and technology company has unveiled their new Aspid ‘luxury’ sportscar at the British International Motor Show. The 700kg lightweight Aspid features fuel and CO2 saving technologies throughout the chassis, suspension, brakes and electrical system.

Power comes from a 2.0 liter supercharged engine that produces a total of 400-hp. That gives the Aspid the ability to go from 0-62mph in 2.8 seconds and 0-100mph in 5.9 seconds. A 270-hp version is also available which...

mpg sounds fishy, no matter how light a 400 horsepower 2.0 liter won't get you 4.8 or 5.5 liters per 100 km. Even diesels of that displacement barely get these figures (they do power heavier vehicles)
