How About The REAL Scoop On Audi's Newest RS Offerings?

How About The REAL Scoop On Audi's Newest RS Offerings?
It has been hard to pinpoint just what will power the much-anticipated Audi RS5 and next-generation Audi RS4 models. With the S4’s impending move to a six-cylinder supercharged 3.0-TFSI and the current S5 running an FSI V8, we know that Audi is pushing for variation between the two similarily sized S-cars.

Then, just last week a report from Car Magazine suggested Audi will opt for an even more-powerful 3.0 TFSI in the RS4 – paraphrasing a discussion their writer had with an un-named Audi executive over dinner at a new model launch in Valencia Spain. If this is right, then it marks a significant change for the RS4 and opens up the further question of differentiation between the upcoming RS offerings.

With so many rumors flying around, we began to put together what we knew and put those questions to a wide list of contacts. And oh yeah, we were also headed to Valencia so we figured we'd ask around. Below is a summary of what we found

He hasn't discovered the joys of sex with a member of the opposite sex yet so he puts down Audi & BMW and gets off on it.

And yes I am a moron who drives FWD-derived crap because I am poor and worthless, ha.
There I covered everything for you...

Oh wait I am an idiot, ha....

For someone that does not like Audi you ALWAYS keep an eye on them/any post regarding their cars. If you really hate them as you claim why do you place your attention on ALL post regarding them. Check yourself and hopefully the answer will help you.

As per suggestion in another post regarding you sir...

Amazin Bimmer, the question is...what kind of car do you really drive? Just to throw it out there, I could have had a 2007 3 series BMW, but instead opted for a fully loaded 2007 A4 2.0 for the following reasons:

1.the 3er interior is by far the worst in this segment, and ill go as far and say that the b6 A4 has a better interior still.
2.the 2.0T in the A4 is much more advanced than anything BMW has released in the past few years as far as output vs mpg goes. (which is why it has won numerous awards for its technological achievements in TFSI technology.
3. Quattro > x-drive
4. This is my opinion, but I am pleased to know i do not have a car that looks like every other car on the road, and that i have something that looks far more sophisticated than the 3 series.
5. Does anyone else think that the tailpipes on the 3 series are too close together resulting in an akwardly shaped rear?

You probably see those tail pipes a lot driving that 2.slow

maybe, but then again the 328xi (which my 2.0t competes against) was one of the slowest of the bunch in a competitive shootout which included AUDI, BMW, and LEXUS.

Not saying my A4 is fast, and never said it was. Infact, it is slow, and that just makes the BMW even slower.

Thanks again for your comment :)

"1.the 3er interior is by far the worst in this segment, and ill go as far and say that the b6 A4 has a better interior still."

- No, that would be the C-Class. And the b6 a4 interior has had the same basic design since 1996. The 2007 A4 interior doesn't look any different than my old 98 1.8t

"2.the 2.0T in the A4 is much more advanced than anything BMW has released in the past few years as far as output vs mpg goes. (which is why it has won numerous awards for its technological achievements in TFSI technology."

- Another crock of junk. The 335 has won numerous awards and gets better "output vs mpg" than the 2.0t. The 2.0t is a nice engine but needs more power.

"3. Quattro > x-drive"

- RWD. More fun than either.

"4. This is my opinion"

- Yeah, and a flawed one at that.

"5. Does anyone else think that the tailpipes on the 3 series are too close together resulting in an akwardly shaped rear?"

- No. Stop hating. Why do you have to bash BMW to feel good about your Audi? Sad

Fourtitude is a good source on Audi info so the RS4/RS5 will likely be as they describe.

What's up with a BMW fan starting trouble with an Audi fan? Euro's shouldn't fight, only compliment each others work. BMW has some great offerings but so does Audi. The new A4 is no exception. With it's bolder appearance inspired by the A5 it is more of a head turner than it was before. The interior is definitely one of its class leaders. The 3 series has nothing on Audi when it comes to interiors and if you are too dumb to see then you're not a car enthusiast at all. Next in style I would have to say the new C-Class is a runner up.

At the same time we can't ignore BMW's are all great nimble and precise machines. I like both companies so quit being ladies and fight like a man. Say what you have to say and move on.

He isn't a fan, he is one of those BMW drivers who buy the tag frame that says "BMW" because it's not clear by the BMW badge right above it. The concept of BMW being compared to an Audi scares him so he calls everyone names.

What do you drive, loser...ha.
