Couldn't be a worse time for these three cars.

Not true, these cars are aimed at those who are indifferent to fuel consumption.

I don't think so...the GLK is not aimed at the $250k + crowd I don't think, its the "I want a mercedes CRV" crowd...which is fine, I don't mind that, but with SUV sales universally tanking, and the awesome but gas gulper of a C63...you can't tell me these are good times for these 3 cars.

No one can be indifferent to fuel consumption. You have to balance what you drive.

Seriously, you can't believe that. Do you think George Lucas worries about fuel mileage? He might, but he doesn't have to. Do you think people in the mid- to high-six figures worry much? I don't. There are plenty of people making 40-50-60K per year who are indifferent.

Not saying that all these people are soulless buffoons, but not everyone is fazed by fuel consumption. It depends on your situation.
