GTI of the 80's is truly a cult classic. It started the whole "pocket rocket" rage. The 1st generation Prelude was another classic.

Carboy check out Top Gear GTI on You Tube and you will find the latest model going sideways a lot. The
original European GTI had 110hp I believe the US version had less.

Sheds a tear...............

I bought a 1984 GTI and that commercials was a big part of it.

The 90hp wonder at the time was as fast as a 1984 Chevy Camaro Z28 from 0-60. The slideways cornering in the commercial was its prodigious off-throttle oversteer.
