World Exclusive- First pictures of Tata Nano in assembly line

These are the first pictures of the Tata Nano being put together at the Singur plant in West Bengal. Tata Motors' Singur plant has begun to work voraciously on the first batch of their small car which will be ready by September 15th, a fortnight before its seen plying Indian roads.

Hey they are part of Jaguar now. I wish I could sign a waiver to legally own one in the US since it doesn't meet our crash standards.

What Tata is doing is horrible. Make inexpensive car for the Indian public is bad. India is second in population. Basically 80% of the public will be able to afford this vehicle, which means the streets will be full of the Nano's. In return means an unbelievable amount of air pollution. If this vehicle would be an ultra low emissions vehicle that would be a different story.
