Toyota to have hybrid in each of its product lines by 2020
dvanced powertrain program manager Justin Ward says that Toyota is really confident that it will have hybrid models in each of its product lines by 2020. The Japanese automaker, which has sold more than 1 million hybrids, estimated that it has saved 7 million tons of carbon dioxide.

Currently Toyota has three hybrid models in its lineup including the Toyota Prius, Toyota Camry Hybrid and the Toyota Highlander Hybrid. It will reveal the next-generation Toyota Prius at that 2009 Detroit auto show followed by a plug-in version of the Prius in early 2011 that will be powered by lithium-ion batteries.

I'm "really confident" that hybrids will be the old-fashioned approach by then. The rest of the vehicles will be pure electric. Graphic foam, Lithium sulfur (LiS), and ??? will make extended range a worry of the past.

that's why they introduced the MASSIVE V8 tundra last year. because it would have been profitable if oil hadn't risen so much. the tundra proves toyota doesn't give a crap about the environment.

Lexus hybrids are Toyota hybrids, don't try to sneak a quick one through as if Lexus makes their own technology. It's all from the eco-brand parent company, don't you ever forget where parts come from. If you work in a Lexus shop you'll still see to this day Toyota parts.
