2010 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Spy Photos Emerge
New spy photos of the 2010 Mercedes-Benz S-Class have emerged today that highlight the various changes we can expect when the model undergoes its midlife refreshening. Although the revisions are subtle, key points of interest include a grille with a slightly more pronounced v-shape, headlights that will reportedly feature LED daylight driving lamps on the sides (flashers will move to the bottom), an updated front and rear apron, distinctly more squared-off side mirrors and revised taillights that may or may not continue to feature the colored strips found on the current model.

You're the one thats stupid. A FACELIFT isn't supposed to look radically different. Thats like saying Lexus is stupid because the 2009 IS looks not too much different from the 2006 one.

hondajap:

You need to be banned. You're the biggest troll on this site. Congrats. All of your comments have no truth in them.

The Honda Legend (Acura RL aka "Real Lame") could never be as good as the marquee benchmark S-Class.

I get good deals from my local dealerships. Usually when they know someone who has purchased previous models they give a generous discount. Mercedes dealerships have no room for a Troll like you Michael Taylor. You know nothing about owning a Lexus let alone Mercedes, Audi, BMW, or Jaguar.

Even I wouldn't go as far to say Lexus ripped me off because the brand overall is cheaper to buy than a Mercedes. It's more eco than Mercedes or BMW's cars. Anyways, you show no respect for other brands. I haven't heard one decent comment from you since you emerged on this website. I sure hope you don't think you're a car fan because you're not.

Most people here argue about cars but in the end of the day it's all good and fun, there's still that respect. FOR YOU, well many people here dislike you as it's obvious that everything you say is complete utter bullcrap.

:)

Don't bother respond. Just take it in consideration for the future.

it needs new rims... those are to small for the body

If the S-class gets standard 18in rims, that should be fine. When they get larger, it may cut into fuel consumption and overall ride quality. But I'm sure 20" rims would look much better.

AHAHAHA! again u amaze me HondaJapan. First i thought u were an absolute loser. Now i can see that your all that plus a blind idiot. Lexus sells well. Notice how the American population is aging?

Its funny because my parents owned a LS600h. You want to know something even funnier? They sold it 1 month after they got it. They had problems with the command system and it wouldnt start sometimes. Now if you call that quality? I dont know whats wrong with you. Maybe i got a bad Lexus. Maybe its one in a million? But no. There were a few other people who got the Lexus at that time period facing the same problem. Thankfuly they sold that piece of junk and got a magnificent S500. Now the S class is just wonderful.

Looking at it now. Its funny how Lexus ran out of idea's and stole the box shape from BMW and didnt do anything with it. Its literally a rectangle with wheels and lights. Nothing striking.

Hows your Honda?

HondaJap:

First of all, the S66 AMG doesn't exist. Second of all, if you meant S65, your parents would have to be filthy rich (which also means you would have grown up in a 1st class family). The comments you make, and the diction you choose to use, don't imply 1st class at all. In fact, you speak like a 3rd class citizen. Don't make up BS.

Second of all, I have one coworker who bought a 07' Lexus ES and had numerous issues with it (including his window falling down and breaking). Honda is known to have horrible transmissions especially from cars in the 01-05 range. The 07' Camry and Tundra also had many issues. Can the Japanese seriously make cars? Nope, all they can make is LEMON! LOL!

A Honda person owned a S65. That is so hard to believe. Nice try Jap kid. Just because you cant face the facts. Re-WW2 maybe?

I always find it somewhat amusing when I read certain negative comments about some of the true luxury cars models. I would be willing to bet that 99.9 percent of you have never been close enough to touch one let alone drive one on a daily basis. I've been blessed enough to drive an S-Class for the past 20 years, however that doesn't mean I don't have respect for some of the other luxury auto brands. All of them have problems along the way. That is what our free tech service is for. At the end of the day I would bet my bottom dollar, if given the opportunity, most of you would relish the opportunity own...say an S65. I agree with QuantumMatrix, we need to ignore that Honda person...I acutally think that is just someone who doesn't even believe what they are typing, however attempting to drum up conversation in the comments section. No one individual can really believe that nonsense.

Is it me or nowadays when you see an S class coming down the road it isn't as exciting to watch as it was back in the 80's when it was just the S & the 7.That goes for most recent German cars (3, jetta, ML, Q7) Its' like they lost their identity somehow and are trying hard to discover what they really should look like (and what they really stand for). What's up with that?

bmwdrvrbmwdrvr - 8/22/2008 12:20:09 PM

i dont think thats the issue.....the issue is for years nothing has looked liked a BMW, or Mercedes...and while they were both pretty conservative BMW moreso than Mercedes as other automakers started to emulate their styling they had to find ways to make themselves different.....but I personally dont like the look of the S class it looks odd, to many lines, and curves, and styling cues to make sense of them

HondaJapan. Ive heard interesting things about Honda? Like how they copied VW in one of the designs. How they are the ugliest cars in the world. I dont blame you. Its probably your eyes that lie to you.

Why would you buy an LS?
1. Hug a tree.
2. A person who only drives Toyota's

Why would you buy BMW?
1. You have a brain
2. You have class
3. You like to drive

Why would you buy a Merc?
1. Also has a brain
2. Has real class
3. Knows it is perfection

S66. What a joke. Seriously dont waste your time. It clearly shows Im bored since i bother replying to your stupidity.

I live all the new changes, however it appears they are leaving the color-coded inserts on the tail lights, which I have always been a fan of, and will be doing a more conventional tail light that also happens to appear like it is 100% LED.

bmwdrvr:

I see your point and agree with you to certain degree (others have emulated BMW & Merc and still do) but you have to say that today most auto manufacturers clearly have their own design language. I think BMW today is playing it a bit too safe with their designs. They need to get more aggressive! Tell me, why didn't they make the new 7 almost exactly like the CS concept.I saw it at the car show and was floored by what BMW can bring out if they really wanted to, that design reminded me of a gothic batmobile, I love it!

1. when the new "bangle" desighns were released the traditional BMW owners balked at the desighns, as they were to avant garde....as did the automotive press....while ironically when BMW goes back to the conservitive elegance that defined them for so many decades with the new 7 now people complain again......so honestly if BMW cars are to aggresively styled people will complain, if they are to conservative they will complain, if they are in the middle of the 2 which is what the new 7 is, they also complain that they arent one or the other so they cant win for losing.....not to mention the CS was desighned as part of the whole 4 door coupe group(which I still havent bought into) why would they have made a traditional flagship look like a grand tourer.......and people said the current 7 was way to radical, the CS is even more radical than the current 7 so there is an issue they had to face...........
