To this day, I fail to understand the appeal of center consul driving gages!! I mean, what a stupid idea... It was stupid on the Z8 and it's stupid on the Prius and every other car that does this.

I tend to agree, but studies have shown that your eyes travel LESS when it is high and centered. People have said that once they use the center, they actually prefer it.
