Up To Measure: Is The 2009 Volkswagen Passat CC Really A Half-Price CLS?

I'm not a fan of the rear end, but other than tha the car does look good. It's just a stylish, well priced, practical enough sedan/coupe.

I think it is the only thing I see different is the way the seats are stitched thats it. nice overall but they could have been a little more creative on the design....because its pretty much a carbon copy of the CLS

in my opinion, the cls and the passat cc are both ugly. that is just my opinion people, i hate the fact that these automobile manufacturers are trying to convince the public that these cars are coupes. there is no such thing as a four door coupe.

Yes, we do, and even though that statement is an exageration i have found VW's to be very reliable cars in my experience.

Yes, I have experience of 3 cars with good reliability. European surveys show good reliability, as do some recent US surveys that have been posted on this site. Maybe get you head out of the sand?

turbospyder- VW's are very reliable. Don't be a victim of reading too much into a poll.

VWs golf and passat are seen quite reliable by europeans but not every VW . IN my family we had two VW Polos and two were unreliable .
German weekly magazine Autobild is testing cars reliability on 100000 km distance , they are publishing this tests in their magazines and on website . So as you can see this can`t be incident becouse many of VWs and VW group cars ( skoda - which are practically VWs with different design , especially older ones ) have bad position .

The design of this car is good, I just don't like that long over hang at the front end.

Should have been based on the new Audi A5/A5 platform.

I like the car. But a Lackluster engine, Lack of DSG (in the US), as well as all the other features that the US will not get, will make this car nothing more than a really nice looking German Lexus ES350.

There will be the 3.6 VR6 and supposedly with DSG, as reported on this site just a few days ago.

Talk about Japanese Buick. The ES350 needs more than reliablity (all new cars are reliable BTW) to get me to bite.

A very nice-looking car. But I would prefer a car with higher performance, more headroom and a posher interior.

Boy I like this car. I think VW has done a terrific job with styling, quality and price point.

I'm not going to bash the VW everyone got their own taste but no way in the world when you put side by side a cls and this thing can be compared , and plus VW is the most unreliable car , if it was up to me i'd take like a new nissan maxima or a c300 benz or a beemer 3 series or w.e. but would never spend money on this car , it's not agressive , it has no LOOK at me looks it's not for young people , it more like for woman in their 40's wanna feel young again car

This car is deadly boring, ugly, and I bet you it will be a failure.

Its a little quirky looking especially from the rear but you have to realize that not everybody likes muscular/luxurious looks (09 Maxima). VW people have their own flava.

Infiniti where is the J37/50? Show them ( future Audi S7 )how its done baby!
