RENNTech To Debut Pikes Peak-Inspired Mercedes-Benz GLK During SEMA Week
In anticipation of the SEMA Show this November, RENNTech via Modified Luxury & Exotics today has unveiled the first renderings of a model they'll be debuting there: a Pikes Peak-inspired Mercedes-Benz GLK hybrid. Although little is known about the performance modifications made to the model, it's one of several GLK's that are guaranteed to be in attendance, with BRABUS, Blvd Customs and Legendary Motorcars (the shop behind the SPEED channel show Dream Car Garage) all set to debut their own tuner versions of Mercedes' newest SUV.

I dont like the rear bumper vents (why?), spoiler or red calipers. The red color clashes with the car color. However, I do very much like those black-series inspired front quarters, the asymmetrical hood vent and the racy grill.

The car might not be perfect, but this picture shows me that this car is the perfect candidate for tuners.

It's funky-looking...boxy...big grill with a big badge...daring, controversial designs...
I think Merc has made a car that "owns" the Scion.

This is a full-size, $60K+, 7 passenger luxury SUV. It couldn't be further from Scion competition. It's not really a good base vehicle for tuining. You can't do anything with the engine, and anyone can slap a set of rims, brakes and a body kit on a truck.

And this is the worst looking tuned GLK I've ever seen, which is a shame since I've driven the regular GLK and it's awesome.

I understand what you mean...but I just think that the car in the picture looks pretty funky.
